Validation of data

This page covers error messages referred to as validation errors. These red texts appear under a form field when the entered data is invalid. The principles are similar to error messages, but we need to be even more precise, without using headings or links.

The principles

In validation error texts, you often need to go directly to the fix-it message, as it's already clear from the context that there is something you have filled in incorrectly.

Some common validation error texts:
